- Installation of all types of window treatments at residential and commercial job sites; products include but are not limited to blinds, shutters, shades, draperies, and motorized window treatments.
- Dress and steam draperies to remove wrinkles and ensure a polished, professional appearance upon completion.
Determine the best way to hang and arrange custom drapery following design consultants' notes and adjusting when necessary based on the window's size, style, and the client’s preferences. - Troubleshoot and creatively solve field issues.
- Train and support the installation team.
- Utilize expertise in low voltage and 120v for motorized systems.
- Ensure jobs are completed on time and with 100% customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the office, sales teams, and vendors to resolve installation issues.
- Build and nurture client relationships, maintaining high customer service metrics.
- Handle RGA projects, customer service calls, and repairs.
- Check-in freight, label, and organize the warehouse.
- Instruct customers on how to operate and maintain their new window treatments.
- 5+ years’ experience as an in-home custom drapery and window covering installer.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Friendly, courteous, and pleasant with all types of people.
- Ability to learn and install new technology in the window covering industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Current and valid driver's license and insurance.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education level is desired.
- Experience with all window covering types, including roller shades, blinds, shutters, motorization and automation, exterior zipper/roller solar screens, and familiarity with Lutron and Hunter Douglas.
